Season 2 of VH1’s “Love & Hip-Hop” wrapped up last month and despite speculation that Miami or Los Angeles spin-offs might follow, an Atlanta season will actually be up next. VH1 has confirmed that there will indeed be an Atlanta-based spinoff to look forward to. The cast has not yet been finalized but being that Atlanta is home to more than a few hip-hop stars, there will probably be a few familiar faces.
In the season finale of “Love & Hip-Hop 2,” there wasn’t much in the way of closure, leaving the gates wide open for a follow-up season in New York. Kimbella Vanderhee reveals that she is pregnant (to unenthused parents), Olivia Longott turns down a record deal from EMI (and battles it out with DJ Funkmaster Flex live on air), Chrissy makes up with Mama Jones and settles into her engagement with Jim Jones. Emily Bustamente is working on being an independent single woman, while still pining for Fabolous, and Yandy Smith has officially ended her professional relationship with Jim Jones.
For fans who can’t bear the thought of waiting until another season rolls around, you’re in luck because on Monday night VH1 will air their version of the “Love & Hip Hop 2” reunion special, where they conduct individual interviews with each of the girls. The season finale of “Love & Hip-Hop” brought in 3.15 Million viewers and tonight is sure to be just as big.
