Kanye West
has lived in Chicago, Los Angeles, and even Rome while he interned at Fendi. Now, it seems like he’ll be changing zip codes once again to temporarily live in the UK. According to tabloid reports, Kanye is moving to London to pursue his fashion career full time. “He went home for the holidays but was proclaiming that he is now based in the capital and would return in early January,” a source told UK’s The Sun. “He’s close to the lecturers and students at the Central Saint Martins College and being in London means he can stop by for advice any time.”

The source also said that Ye would be preparing his Paris Fashion Week show for March, that he’s been looking for a studio, and that he was giving models his email address and asking them to send him photos.

Ye’s reported move to London comes months after his women’s clothing label DW, named after his mother Donda West, received mixed reviews in its October debut. The uber-producer/rapper has always had an eye for fashion, though; his old clothing line Pastelle won’t see the light of day, but his collaborations with Nike and Louis Vuitton have fared better. His Nike Air Yeezy shoe sold out in sneaker boutiques around the country, and its sequel turned heads when he wore it during performances on the Watch the Throne tour.

This doesn’t mean that Ye’s staying away from music. Big Sean told MTV News that the upcoming G.O.O.D. Music album is nearing completion, and that the crew is making their way to London where they will finish recording the album. “We’re gonna do the G.O.O.D. Music album first, we been working on that. So me, Kanye, Cudi, CyHi, John Legend, Common, Pusha T, everybody on G.O.O.D., Mr Hudson we’re all working on a new project, it’s almost done,” Big Sean said on the set of Wale’s “Slight Work” video in California. “We’re going to London to finish it up and do the last part of it and working on my album at the same time with ’Ye and everybody.”
