DJ Khaled doesn’t intend to slow his momentum after the summertime success of his triple platinum smash “I’m On One” featuring Lil Wayne and Drake alongside Maybach Music Group CEO and fellow Miami native Rick Ross. On Friday afternoon (December 9), the 36-year-old Khaled released a promotional video announcing the arrival of his upcoming studio release Kiss The Ring.
The clip, directed by Khaled’s We The Best Music Group video and film arm Dazed One, opens in dramatic fashion with several shots of the big-voiced producer and radio personality. With a choir of operatic voices and stirring strings serving as a backdrop, several images of Khaled in action flash onscreen – with words adorned in flames cast against a black backdrop also appearing, lauding the man of the moment.
From concert footage, video clips and other varying shots, Khaled’s YMCMB brethren are well represented in the video. The album’s title is revealed towards the end of the clip, with the vague words “coming soon” appearing underneath.
Khaled released his fifth studio album (and his first major label release) We The Best Forever back in July, spawning the hits “Welcome To My Hood” and “I’m On One.”
Kiss The Ring will be presumably arrive in 2012, although no release date has been formally announced.
