(Beyonce and her baby bump at the VMAs)
On Friday night’s (December 2) episode of “20/20,” Beyonce joined host Katie Couric for an intimate interview, where she opened up about her career–who knew that Beyonce was proficient at Final Cut Pro–and, of course, the upcoming baby. The expecting mother addressed rumors of her “fake pregnancy,” chatted about the weird food cravings people have invented for her and even accompanied Couric to New York City’s Roseland Ballroom where she filmed her new concert DVD “Live at Roseland: Elements of 4.” Check out a few highlights from Bey’s interview.
On those fake pregnancy rumors: “You know, there are certain things that are so far, it doesn’t even effect me,” she told Couric. “I’m cool. It doesn’t bother me.”
On her overprotective family: “My mom is like, ‘Nobody’s talking about my grandbaby! My grandbaby’s not ever here yet!” I was like, ‘Calm down, mom! It’s okay!’ My mom and sister are so protective.”
On her pregnancy cravings: “I read that I like ketchup on everything…not true,” she said. “I was on a plane and the flight attendant came and was like, ‘I have your hot sauce and pickles and bananas.’ I’m like, ‘That is disgusting! What are you doing?’ And he’s like, ‘I read it on the Internet.'”
On the baby’s sex: “I don’t care. I just want–I’m just like everyone else. And now I know why people say that, it’s true. I just want [a healthy baby],” she said. “I know it’s going to be difficult at times and I know that, like my mother, I’m going to get on my child’s nerves, but it’s all out of love and I’m just ready. I’m ready for the next chapter,” she said.
