Nicki Minaj, or, maybe we should say Roman Zolanski—her trouble making alter-ego who got shipped off to boarding school earlier this year—has announced the title and release date of his/her new single “Roman in Moscow.” The Harajuku Barbie shared the news on Twitter on Thursday (December 1), telling fans that the “teaser” is set to drop tomorrow on iTunes at 1 p.m. EST.
"Roman releases his teaser tomorrow on iTunes. It’s entitled: Roman In Moscow. 1pmEST," she wrote, briefly. After much pressure from fans, the Young Money rapper announced the title and release date of her sophomore album last week, writing, "Its only right to announce it on the anniversary of Pink Friday right barbz??? Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded will be released on Valentines Day, 2012. Heeeee’s baaaacccckkkk.”
And just to make sure people didn’t screw that up, she added, “Its not called Roman Reloaded. Its call PINK FRIDAY: ROMAN RELOADED!!!!!! 4 WORDS!!!! Love u guys sooo much!!! VALENTINES DAY biittcchh!”
It looks like a big year is ahead for Nicki, who received three Grammy nominations last night, including Best New Artist, Best Rap Album, and Best Rap Performance. At the recent American Music Awards, she picked up two trophies for Best Rap/Hip-Hop artist and Best Rap/Hip-Hop.
