Earlier this month, we were treated to a few snapshots from this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, after the November 9 taping at the Lexington Avenue Amory in New York City. On Tuesday night (November 29) the show aired in full, featuring performances from Jay-Z, Kanye West and Nicki Minaj. West, who admittedly has a soft spot for the models, gave two performances during the show, beginning with “Stronger,” which he dedicated to his latest mother Donda West.
Although Ye was originally tapped to perform at the 2007 show, he was forced to cancel after the sudden death of mother. “I lost my superhero, but now she’s my super angel,” he told the crowd, dedicating his performance to her.
Later in the show, Jay-Z joined Kanye on stage where the two performed their Watch The Throne single “Ni–as in Paris” (only once), while the camera cut to Beyonce looking on and singing-a-long from the crowd (instead of her usual all-out dancing).
Nicki Minaj took the stage for the final performance of the night, giving the crowd a taste of her popular single “Super Bass,” which the Angels all seemed to be vibing to. She was decked out in one of her most colorful outfits, and the models were all digging her. She even shared a little moment with model Chanel Iman onstage.
