Beyonce Worried That Fans Noticed Baby Bump, Before VMAs

It’s never easy to keep a secret from the public when you’re one half of hip-hop’s most influential couple and especially not if that secret involves a mini Hova/Bey. Beyonce stole the show at the MTV VMAs this year when she announced her pregnancy to shocked fans, but the singer was actually worried that everyone already knew what was up. During an event to promote her new DVD Live at Roseland in New York this weekend, Bey revealed just how difficult it was to keep the growing baby bump under wraps.

“When you’re pregnant, it’s a little bit harder to breathe, so it was hard doing all the choreography and singing at the same time,” the 30-year-old explained, during an interview in support of her new DVD. “The whole time I definitely was thinking, `Everyone knows, everyone can see,” she said.

Beyonce was most worried that fans would noticed the bump when she performed four sold-out nights at New York’s Roseland Ballroom back in August. Luckily, it seems like the audience was too enthralled by her performances to notice her growing stomac.

Fans who didn’t get a chance to see Beyonce’s shows—which, according to Bey, are her last concert performances of the year—can catch behind-the-scenes footage in the deluxe two disc Live at Roseland DVD, available everywhere on 11/29. The DVD will feature interviews, concert footage, rehearsals, family moments, home footage—even shots of Beyonce in her wedding gown.

Beyonce hopes that this DVD will serve as a time capsule for her unborn baby, a chance for him/her to say, “”I can’t believe I was in that belly,” she said.

What a lucky child.
