Nicki Minaj joined Willow Smith in Los Angeles this past weekend to shoot the video for “Fireball,” a single from the 11-year-old’s upcoming album. The dynamic duo were a vibrant sight to see, with Willow rocking a gold-themed outfit and a pair of boots, while the Young Money diva donned a brightly-colored wig and a dress made of stuffed animals. Will and Jada Smith were on set cheering their daughter along, which prompted Nicki to introduce herself as the latest addition to the Smith family.
Minaj tweeted a photo from the set to fans, along with the message, “I’m the newest member of the family! Lmaoooooo. How cute are they barbz???? Willow goin ham in the video.”
In addition to touring in support of her Pink Friday album Nicki Minaj continues to pop up as a feature on several songs (including Drake’s “Make Me Proud”) and in music videos. Her most recent appearance was alongside Big Sean in the raunchy visuals for his single “Dance (A$$).”
Next up, you’ll see Nicki in the video for Birdman’s single “Y.U. Mad,” which the YMCMB crew filmed in Miami Beach last month. MTV News caught up with them on set, where Birdman explained how the collaboration came about. “Nicki gave me that song. She called me one day like, ‘Stunna I got a record I think you would like,’” Baby explained. “ I liked it from the start, working with Nicki is just special anyway so and it was something she gave me and I felt good about it so we rocked with it.”
