Over the weekend a fist fight erupted in Las Vegas that didn’t involve either Floyd Mayweather Jr. or Victor Ortiz. While Floyd was on hand to witness the exchange, it was musicians Ray J and Fabolous who were headlining this event. According to Ray J, Fabolous had been poking fun at him over Twitter and the singer bumped into Fab following Mayweather’s victory and things got a bit out of hand.
“I’ma smack you up again, fool! ‘Ray J got beat up?’ I’ll sock that ni–a in the face, my ni–a,” Ray J told Power 105’s DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God. “All I’m saying is if you got Fab’s number, tell that ni–a to send you a picture of his face right now…I’m with the Money Team right now. I swear to God he’s running from me right now…[After I hit him,] he fell back because he’s a sucker”
While Ray J went on a Tupac-like tantrum on the morning show that’s been the talk of various hip-hop circuits, things have remained silent on Fab’s side. The Brooklyn rapper tweeted once today that didn’t mention Ray J or the event. This morning Ray J guaranteed that he would personally have Fab call up the Power 105 radio show and apologize then later on word surfaced that Loso would be calling in to Hot 97 with Angie Martinez to give his side of the story. Neither happened. Over the course of today dozens of entertainers have chimed in asking the pair to keep it cool and ease down on the violence. Through it all Fabolous has maintained his code of silence as one has to wonder if the MC will address the matter at all?
“@myfabolouslife will go JayZ route hes not gonna respond in 2days you won’t even talk about this anymore !” Queens DJ Superstar Jay tweeted today. “I’m gonna need @rayj and @myfabolouslife to squash this nonsense @DJCLUE” radio host Big Tigger added in.
