As reported earlier, charitable Houston rapper Trae The Truth and his fourth annual "Trae Day" event held in his hometown drew crowds of families who all benefited from the big-hearted rapper’s gifts of school supplies, immunization for incoming students and a free concert featuring some well-known names in rap such as Lupe Fiasco, YC and others.
Website Exclusive Access captured live footage of “Trae Day” and it appears the fans in attendance were thrilled by the performances and appreciative of the free goodies handed out by Trae’s nonprofit Angels By Nature/A Better Neighborhood. From the opening shot, the video shows kids frolicking on a moon bounce and enjoying carnival games. The cameras also chronicled Lupe Fiasco’s arrival and showed the Chicago rapper sporting a new twisted up ‘do. Popular funnyman Lil Duval handled hosting duties for the event also.
Curvy model Lola Monroe was also a featured performer and the past Lil Boosie collaborator looked to have the support of the fans. Houston rapper Trouble got fans amped with his local smash “Bussin” and “Throw Some Ds” MC Rich Boy got hands to wave in the air as well. Lupe Fiasco rocked his latest single the Trey Songz-assisted “Out Of My Head” and got a big reaction when he launched into his smash hit single “The Show Goes On” – with the crowd singing along with the Chicago native as he ran through his performance.
Bun B grabbed the microphone for a spell to give Trae The Truth well deserved respect for the event and the offices of Congresswoman Shelia Jackson Lee presented an official announcement and acknowledgement of “Trae Day” in front of the audience as well.
