Proud papa Lil Wayne may be one of the biggest stars in music, but he's also gracious enough to share his time and talents with his preteen progeny Reginae, according to their child's mother.
In a recent interview with SOHH, Lil Wayne's ex-wife Toya shared the news that the Young Money head honcho's oldest child will be collaborating with her famous father on a few tracks. "Yes, Reginae isvery talented," Toya said. "She is very talented, smart and wise beyond her years. And I know Wayne feels the same way, that she's a star." Toya Carter went on to add, "She been doing music with her dad lately. As long as she's doing what she has to do in school and making good grades, I'll support anything else."
Time will tell if 12-year old Reginae has inherited any of her father's formidable gifts and legendary worth ethic, but rest assured Lil Wayne is a huge fixture in the life of his daughter. Assuming that some of the talent has rubbed off, Reginae is already poised for fame as she stars alongside her mom in the BET reality TV vehicle "Toya: A Family Affair" shot in Atlanta.
No word yet on when or where any of the songs Wayne and Reginae worked on will surface. Lil Wayne is also preparing for the release of his much anticipated Tha Carter IV album on June 21.
Perhaps Reginae can do her own version of Birdman and Weezy F.'s hit "Stuntin' Like My Daddy" as well.
