New Orleans rapper B.G. is once again in trouble with the law. On Thursday (May 19), the former Cash Money Hot Boy was indicted on the federal gun and obstruction charges that dated back to his 2009 arrest.
The Times-Picayune reported that the office U.S. Attorney Jim Letten announced the charges and said that B.G. is now facing a three-count indictment due to his prior arrest.
B.G., 30 was arrested in November 2009 for weapons possession, while driving in New Orleans. Police said two of the three guns that the rapper was caught with had been reported stolen.
Prosecutors allege that the rapper tried to get an associate to claim ownership of the guns and because of that he now faces obstruction charges as well.
Gizzle got his start as a rapper on Birdman’s Cash Money Records and had a successful solo run as well as a run with the four-man group Hot Boyz which consisted of Lil Wayne, Juvenile and Turk.
For years rumors of a Hot Boys reunion have swirled around the industry, but Turk is currently locked up and B.G.’s current legal trouble will not help matters.
