Bus shootings, problems with the cops and the like have not slowed down one bit of Waka Flocka Flame’s ambition and musical output.
MTV News caught up with the Brick Squad soldier in Los Angeles over the weekend and the dreadlocked spitter revealed that he has two solo mixtapes and new album set to be released this year. Waka also addressed rumors of he and fellow Brick Squad compatriot Gucci Mane working on a reality TV show and joint album.
“Oh the music hard, just dropped Salute Me Or Shoot Me 3,” said Waka. “About to drop my compilation album to my new label Brick Squad Monopoly. About to drop Benjamin Flocka then my new album Triple F Life and going hard from there.”
Waka and Gucci would make for some entertaining television and the 24 year old Atlanta native didn’t exactly confirm the reality show but did share news that he and his partner are hard at work on a new joint project. “I heard that too,” said Waka of the rumored show. “Me and Gucc got an album about to drop. Brick Squad Ferrari Boys Blood Brothers,” Waka added.
While many on the west coast rightfully mourned the loss of legendary crooner and G-Funk pioneer Nathaniel “Nate Dogg” Hale, who passed at age of 41 last week, Waka gave a sincere salute from the South to the man whose voice literally touched millions across the globe. “Yeah that’s bad, man. We lost a good one, “said the southern MC. “That’s the big dog.”
