Hot shot Philadelphia MC Meek Mill has just gotten busier. On Tuesday (February 8), the Philly phenom pronounced he was taking his rap talents to Miami and signing with Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group. Mill joins Washington DC rapper Wale, who announced his formal alignment with the Bawse’s label a few days prior.

“I’m doing my thing in my area, Wale doing his thing in his area, Rick Ross got the whole United States in a frenzy, why not team up?” Meek told MTV News. “It’s like the Miami Heat, the Big Three. Once they get they things together…they going to be unstoppable. At the end of the day we going to be unstoppable cause we coming to take a lot of rappers out the game man. Coming to spit straight fire.”

The story goes Rick Ross connected with Meek Mill after asking his Twitter followers who to check for while visiting the City of Brotherly Love. The Miami rap don then hopped on a remix to Meek’s song “Rosé Red,” which was bubbling in Philly last year. Meek has been putting in work for some time, buzzing heavy in his Philadelphia hometown since 2007 and was signed to T.I.’s Grand Hustle in 2008. In October 2010, he rocked his local station Power 99′s Powerhouse concert alongside heavyweight headliners such as Drake, Ne-Yo and Rick Ross.

According to Meek, he and his new squad have already been hard at work. “I ain’t been to sleep five days. Me, Rozay, Wale, we been running around grinding. Then we just did like three videos in the last 24 hours. You grind hard your shine hard. At the end of the day we trying to win.”
