Nicki Minaj is nice with numbers this week like she’s a CPA.

The theatrical MC debuted at number two on the Billboard Albums chart with her Pink Friday LP, the highest first week sales total for a new female rapper since Lauryn Hill in 1998. And her “My Time Now” doc that aired on MTV last Sunday (November 28) — which you can still watch right here on RapFix — bested her good buddy Drake’s “Better Than Good Enough,” which aired earlier this year, in ratings.

We know how she responded to her chart success. But how does the Queens native feel about her life was portrayed on the small screen?

“To be honest, that documentary, I was looking forward to it just as much as I was looking forward to the album,” she told us in a phone call on Wednesday (December 1). “I thought the producers did an amazing job. It’s like they captured every facet of me, every facet of the business, and it was done in such a classy truthful way.

“Six months ago, I was hoping and praying that MTV would take a chance on me and allow me to have a documentary and everyone that’s seen the documentary, I’ve gotten inundated with positive feedback,” she continued. “People who really never saw me as a person, they sort of got to see the human side of me and also saw the business woman in me. It also depicted just the love that I have for my family, my Barbs and Ken Barbs. I definitely think we hit a homerun with the documentary I’m just excited that this’ll be out there in the world for the rest of my life and I’ll always be able to go back in time and remember this moment because of that documentary.”

Nicki’s “My Time Now” documentary will re-air on MTV on the following dates: Thursday (December 2) at 9 a.m. ET, Friday (December 2) at 4 p.m. ET and Saturday (December 3) at 3p p.m. ET. These dates are subject to change.
