"Ya'll get some sleep. Tomorrow gonna be a beautiful day," the North Carolina MC tweeted early Friday morning.
"Where dis damn J.Cole mixtape at?" asked @DLU102.
Friday Night Lights is a precursor to his as-yet-untitled major label debut that will come in 2011 via RocNation. On Thursday, Cole released the cut "In The Morning" featuring himself and Drake from the mixtape and set the Internet a buzz.
"That J.Cole and Drake song wooh, I love it so much, on repeat!" says @NikkiJamzz.
MTV News spoke to Drake earlier this year about the Southern MC, who many say is his counterpart.
"I really, really, really like J. Cole. His rhyme structures, the concepts, there's a little bit of pain in his raps. It's music, man. It's deep music," Drake said.
The Toronto MC added that he can relate to the way Cole strives to create inventive hip-hop. "It's a kid who is trying to draw you into his world and I think that's what it takes in rap right now. You can't just be the generic, [like,] 'Oh, I rap great,' but have nothing to say. J. Cole's really trying to draw people into his world and I respect that a lot because that's my goal, period."
