After two years away, Mobb Deep's Prodigy could be back in his hometown streets of Queens, NY as early as February 2011. Following the end of Eminem and Jay-Z's Home and Home tour, Alchemist talked about one half of the Queens duo wistfully.
"P comes home in February," said the producer. "It's gonna be a very busy time. It's amazing. He feels like he's home already. He's in the best health he's been in. He's really excited."
Al said he's given Prodigy beats despite his incarceration so the two can continue working but the process involves a third party.
"I've been sending him beats," he said. "Havoc is sending him beats. I e-mail them to his wife, and she puts it on some type of cassette. It's like he's in the studio, he's just not recording."
With so many MCs either on their way out of jail or relishing their new found freedom, RapFix checked in to see what fans think P should do when he hits the bricks.
"HNIC 3? That would be a good look with Havoc, Kanye & Roc Marciano (yes him) producing," said bDotWaller.
Another fan weighed in with a joke, that could also be a good idea for some luck DJ.
"Do a collab project with all the recent cell block pals, TIP, DMX, Weezy, Petey Pablo and name the mixtape "Bing Buddies," said officialdjx.
Only time will tell how Prodigy's incarceration has affected him, it will be interesting to hear his music when he comes home.
