New Miami Heat center/forward Chris Bosh may have turned down opportunities to play for his homestate teams the Houston Rockets or Dallas Mavericks, but the NBA All-Star and Gold Medal Olympian assures us he has tremendous love for the states from which he came.
The Dallas native says not only does he go back to the crib for visits, but he keeps abreast of the local hip-hop scene. And if you know Dallas, you know that means the D-Town Boogie. The Dallas native talks about what it’s like to hear and interact with a new generation of music in his hometown.
“I mean there were always dances in Dallas ever since I was in high school,” says Bosh. “But like now it’s like a younger generation.”
“They’d be like, ‘Man you don’t know how to do that?’ I’m like, ‘Naw! Well what is that?’ ‘You’ve heard that song?’ ‘No!’ So, you know I always have to play catch-up.”
